John Terry Apology

Chelsea captain, John Terry, has issued an apology to Chelsea’s travelling supporters who paid their hard-earned only to see a performance which must have seemed anything but value for money against Roma mid-week.

Terry had already voiced his opinion after the game, holding his hands up to the fact that the players ‘strolled’ around assuming they were the better team, and duly got a kick up the arse for it.

I’ve no doubt the Chelsea captain has had a few choice words for his team-mates in the past few days, but to the supporters he says “We showed no sign of the fight and determination that over the last few years has got us to where we’ve been. Apologies to the fans. It was a great turn out – and sorry for the result. We have been playing some really good football with brilliant movement of late. But that has been collectively, as a team, and that is why we have been walking around teams and scoring goals. We didn’t have any of that this time. We thought we could beat Roma as individuals – and we could never do that.”

Let’s just hope lessons were learnt.
