So, Is Drogba Injured Or Not?

Didier Drogba sat out Chelsea’s 4-0 opening day victory over Portsmouth at the Bridge yesterday, whilst his replacement Nicolas Anelka was taking his opportunity to impress the new boss. D

Drogba’s been out of action with a persistent knee injury during Chelsea’s pre-season and according to Scolari, wasn’t expected to return for Chelsea for another couple of weeks. Not letting that bother them though, the Ivory Coast have named our injured striker in their 23-man squad for a friendly against Guinea this week.

The friendly at Chantilly, France on Wednesday is a warm-up in preparation for the Ivorian’s next World Cup qualifier away to Mozambique on September 7th.

But with the Chelsea man unavailable for us until 31st August, you can only wonder what the Ivory Coast are playing at.
